*Juicer OR High Speed Blender + Nut Milk Bag Required*
This recipe doubles as a juice OR smoothie recipe~ hence the name, Juicy Smoothie
• 2-3 handfuls chopped red & green kale
• 3 oranges, peeled & seeded
• 2 McIntosh apples, cored
• 1 banana
• 1 mango, peeled & seeded
• 2-3 cups water, if using Blender Method
As with the other juice recipes, juice ingredients using a juicer like the Omega OR blend the ingredients with the water in a high speed blender (like the Vitamix), and strain using a nut milk bag.
Alternatively, since bananas and mangoes are smooth fruits, juice the kale, oranges and apples, then add this juice to the blender with the banana and mango to turn it into an appley smoothie! If using the blender method, you can juice the first 3 ingredients (and strain using the nut milk), then wash out the blender and blend this juice with the banana and mango. Up to you! See which way you like best :)
Mmm, love that richness from the mango and banana! I enjoy using both red and green kale together to vary it up from time to time, but you can also use just green kale OR just red kale.
And speaking of "justs," don't you just feel like you just want to take all these juice-y ingredients and throw them into the blender to make a delish smoothie? You absolutely can! Just make sure you add some water so that it gets pureed nice 'n' smooth.
