CF, DF, EF, GF, MF, NUTF, SALF, SOYF, SUF, YF
• 1 cup freshly sprouted buckwheat (not buckwheaties)
• 2 carrots, chopped
• 1 tomato, chopped
• 1 small red pepper, seeded & chopped
• 1/2 onion, chopped
• 1 cup packed nori-> pour water to cover over nori & let seaweed absorb water
• 1-2 tsp onion powder
• 1 Tbsp olive oil
• 1 cup ground flaxseed
• Water, for consistency
Blend buckwheat in the food processor. Add to a high speed blender with the rest of the ingredients (except flax seed) and blend, then add in flax seed. Spread to cover on 1 solid Teflex sheet. Dry at 145F 2 hrs in the dehydrator, then lower to 115F. Flip bread to dry onto the mesh sheet (peel off solid Teflex sheet). Score this wet side using a ceramic or plastic knife into 9 squares without cutting all the way through. Dry completely, then break into pieces. Makes 9 pieces of "bread."
Instead of "bread," you can use this recipe to make oniony crackers. When you flip the dough over to dry the other side, instead of scoring it into 9 pieces, score it into 12 or 16 pieces. Make sure you dry the crackers completely.
Add your fave nut pate, seed butter or hummus spread (or whatever it is you fancy), and...Enjoy :)
